Finding Your Ritual

We are constantly bombarded with “quick-fix” solutions to instantly increase our wellness. While these products may seem other-wordly, we know that the real heros are the simple habits we practice every day.

AM RITUAL - Set your intentions for the day.

Before you start your day, take a moment for yourself and check in with how your mind and body are feeling. Clear your mind with meditation or yoga and write out anything that may be bothering you. These small habits may seem like nothing, but they will leave you feeling refreshed and help to start your day on the right foot.

The best glow starts from the inside out. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Hydration keeps your skin soft and clear, will give you more energy and make sure all your systems are in optimal condition. Supplement sugary or heavily-caffeinated drinks during the day with one of our teas. Steeping Beauty is a white tea that is full of antioxidants to rid of any free radicals and purifies the skin.

Pushing yourself to your limits can be great… sometimes. It is important to schedule in recovery days to help your muscles rest and rejuvenate so you can work harder during your next sweat sesh.  Use these days to shake up your routine and incorporate lower-impact activities like pilates or yoga. If you still want to do some cardio, take a hike with friends!

The second step to recovery is nourishment. No matter your fitness routine, sticking to a healthy diet will improve your productivity, memory, mood and body composition. Start the day with a protein rich breakfast, like an egg white omelette or smoothie using vegetables and a clean protein powder. Women need about 65g of protein a day, which is essential for tissue repair and growth. If you include a clean protein source at every meal, you will feel fuller for longer.

Mindful breathing is really important for calming the nervous system and controlling excess stress. While a some stress is healthy, and can improve efficiency on tasks, feeling overwhelmed can lead to burnout and negatively impact your overall health. Make sure to take 10 deep breaths during the workday to keep you feeling balanced.

SOCIAL RITUALS - Live in the present!

Spending time with friends and family can really improve one’s wellbeing. Make sure you spend time with people that make you laugh and express gratitude towards them. Instead of going out to an expensive restaurant or bar, organize a chill night, where you can truly take time to enjoy the company of those who make you feel your best. Maybe even share a cup of tea together!
